Hopefully this Friday (if our shipment gets in) we will be doing a Memorial Day Weekend launch on our new line of hoodies, ringer-tees, and t-shirts.
Fri, May 28th: Firkin Friday w/ Shipyard and Memorial Day Weekend 2nd Annie Lobster Fest!
Happy Memorial Day with a release of ?Hamilton?s Smooth Pub Ale?
HSPA!? Well we designed a recipe with the mindset of English Pub ales like Boddingtons, John Smith Smooth, Tetleys and sent Denno to Shipyard (Maine) and he helped brew this tasty Pub Ale. Our house English style Pub Ale uses a not so typical pub ale hop profile -> Simcoe/Amarillo hop by design the result is a very smooth, highly drinkable ale with just a slight hint of citrus hop on the finish. We?re serving now but Friday we?re doing a very special keep the glass night for 5.50 a pint and refills 3.50 with the commemorative Hamilton?s glass for this beer!
All other Shipyard beers 3.50 all night! To include:
Cask: Old Thumper
On Draught: Hamilton's Smooth Pub Ale, Summer Ale, Barleywine, Prelude Winter Ale, Brown Ale, Imperial Porter, 4xIPA, Fuggles IPA, Export Ale, Old Thumper, BluefinStout, Smashed Pumpkin
Hop Sausage: No! Lobster? Yes! Same as last year.. We?re taking a boocoo amount of fresh maine lobsters from the east coast, halving them ourselves, sending them into pots of champagne to soak, smothering them with garlic/butter and then grilling them Baja Style. We?ll also have a mini low country boil of hop sausage, potato?s and corn. If your drinking Shipyard the grub is first come -> first serve.
Friday, June 4th: Firkin Friday with Green Flash
Cask: Green Flash Imperial Red
On Draught: Imperial and West Coast
Saturday, June 5th: Weheinstephaner Fest 5-8pm!
We will have the cool bus going back and forth between Small Bar and Hamilton?s celebrating Weheinstephaner! We will have .5L keep the glass Happy Hour! Small Bar will have Kristal-weiss, Lager, Festbier and Dunkel. Hamiltons will have Korbinian, Vitus, Hefe, Lager and Festbier ? Refills for 3.00, keep the glass for 5.00. WHAT IS A CASK YOU SAY?!
Cask ale is a wonderful treat we try on offer each Friday and on the 2nd Saturday each month. Cask Conditioned or Real Ale is naturally carbonated and pulled thru a hand pump. We display the firkin on the bar for all to see and we pair the beer up with a Brewmaster?s inspired ?Hop Sausage Plate?. The trick with Cask Ale is there is an EOL (End Of Life) with such a fresh product and this is why we choose to have specified ?CASK NIGHTS?! We want you to experience and enjoy these cask condition ales as fresh as possible, free from artificial carbonation and as intended from the breweries. This is why we never have a cask on longer than 2 days tops and typically we pour thru them in less then 3 hours! If you are somewhere and there is Real Ale you may want to ask how long it?s been on because depending on the practice and if more than a couple of days, the beer very well may have turned or isn?t what was intended from the brewery (even if they are using artificial carbonation to extend the life of the beer).
Remember to always choose Cask Ale first, it really is a rare treat!

I WANNA GO... I WANNA GO... I. WANNA. GO. HOP SAUSAGE!!!
Each week we grind, case, and grill our own Hop Sausages! What is a Hop Sausage? A Hop Sausage is our handmade sausage where we incorporate the use of whole hops as part of the recipe?s spice profile! This gives us the opportunity to offer you what we call our ?Brewmaster inspired Hop Sausage Plate?. Each week on our Cask Conditioned Friday?s we try and come up with a flavor profile of the sausage to compliment or contrast the ale we?re serving on our hand pump. These ?Brew master Hop Sausage Plate?s? always come with creative sides and homemade sauces. Currently we offer our house made Spicy Italian Hop Sausage as a full time sandwich offering so if you?re curious how good they can be try one I?m sure you?ll enjoy!
Truly CRIMINAL not to try the weekly Hamilton?s Hop Sausage Plate!

Monthly DrinkAbout, Wednesday May 19th and June 16th
Drink?a?bout [ drink-uh-bout ] -noun 1. an informal bus ride taken by members of the communities of Normal Heights, North Park, South Park and beyond, for the purpose of drinking without driving, sampling the wares at multiple local establishments, and being seen by the public.
So here is how it will go down. Each month, 2 lovely buses (Brewery Tours of San Diego) will cruise a loop, stopping repeatedly at EIGHT craft-beer bars and restaurants. You are free to hop on and hop off wherever and whenever you desire starting at about 7pm, at NO COST TO YOU! The wonderful beer establishments included in this junket? Blind Lady Alehouse, Small Bar, Livewire, Toronado, Sea Rocket, The Station, Hamilton's, & Ritual Tavern. So if you live in Normal Heights you may want to start at Blind Lady, and then hop on and cruise to another part of town to drink, hopping back when you're done and avoiding driving altogether. And likewise, if you live in South Park, check out other parts of town without pesky parking. It's also a great time to check out any places you haven't tried yet, but have been meaning to. All in all, a fun time and the rides are free! The NEXT one is WEDNESDAY, February 17th. Check out Drinkabout on facebook for details and bus schedules!
