WHAT IS A CASK YOU SAY?!
Cask ale is a wonderful treat we try on offer each Friday and on the 2nd Saturday each month. Cask Conditioned or Real Ale is naturally carbonated and pulled thru a hand pump. We display the firkin on the bar for all to see and we pair the beer up with a Brewmaster?s inspired ?Hop Sausage Plate?. The trick with Cask Ale is there is an EOL (End Of Life) with such a fresh product and this is why we choose to have specified ?CASK NIGHTS?! We want you to experience and enjoy these cask condition ales as fresh as possible, free from artificial carbonation and as intended from the breweries. This is why we never have a cask on longer than 2 days tops and typically we pour thru them in less then 3 hours! If you are somewhere and there is Real Ale you may want to ask how long it?s been on because depending on the practice and if more than a couple of days, the beer very well may have turned or isn?t what was intended from the brewery (even if they are using artificial carbonation to extend the life of the beer).
Remember to always choose Cask Ale first, it really is a rare treat!

I WANNA GO... I WANNA GO... I. WANNA. GO. HOP SAUSAGE!!!
Each week we grind, case, and grill our own Hop Sausages! What is a Hop Sausage? A Hop Sausage is our handmade sausage where we incorporate the use of whole hops as part of the recipe?s spice profile! This gives us the opportunity to offer you what we call our ?Brewmaster inspired Hop Sausage Plate?. Each week on our Cask Conditioned Friday?s we try and come up with a flavor profile of the sausage to compliment or contrast the ale we?re serving on our hand pump. These ?Brew master Hop Sausage Plate?s? always come with creative sides and homemade sauces. Currently we offer our house made Spicy Italian Hop Sausage as a full time sandwich offering so if you?re curious how good they can be try one I?m sure you?ll enjoy!
Truly CRIMINAL not to try the weekly Hamilton?s Hop Sausage Plate!

Monthly DrinkAbout, Wednesday June 16th
Drink?a?bout [ drink-uh-bout ] -noun 1. an informal bus ride taken by members of the communities of Normal Heights, North Park, South Park and beyond, for the purpose of drinking without driving, sampling the wares at multiple local establishments, and being seen by the public.
So here is how it will go down. Each month, 2 lovely buses (Brewery Tours of San Diego) will cruise a loop, stopping repeatedly at EIGHT craft-beer bars and restaurants. You are free to hop on and hop off wherever and whenever you desire starting at about 7pm, at NO COST TO YOU! The wonderful beer establishments included in this junket? Blind Lady Alehouse, Small Bar, Livewire, Toronado, Sea Rocket, The Station, Hamilton's, & Ritual Tavern. So if you live in Normal Heights you may want to start at Blind Lady, and then hop on and cruise to another part of town to drink, hopping back when you're done and avoiding driving altogether. And likewise, if you live in South Park, check out other parts of town without pesky parking. It's also a great time to check out any places you haven't tried yet, but have been meaning to. All in all, a fun time and the rides are free! The NEXT one is WEDNESDAY, February 17th. Check out Drinkabout on facebook for details and bus schedules!
